Аннотация: In this paper the problem of alliance in the form of joint venture stability evaluation is considered. The longevity of joint venture’s existence is determined by long term motivation of alliance partners to achieve stated goals, which in turn, is determined by alliance stability. Analysis of the existing papers on alliance stability topic showed that the research is very fragmented. Most well-known papers in the area are mainly focused on the investigation of different internal and external factors that can influence joint venture stability. At the same time, no joint venture stability definition and concept has been suggested. For this reason, authors developed original approach to the definition of strategic alliance stability and its' conceptualization which allows evaluation of stability, taking into account influence of both, internal and external factors. The introduced concept is implemented to the analysis of the Renault–Nissan strategic alliance.
