Аннотация: It has been shown that under certain conditions Pt catalyst can suppress developing flame propagation of methane–oxygen mixtures due to high efficiency of the chain termination by Pt surface coated with Pt oxide layer. Therefore, kinetic factors may be the determining ones even under conditions of high turbulence.
