The First Structurally Characterized Organolanthanoid Compound with an Anthracene Dianion Ligand. Synthesis and Structure (at 143 K) of #form_11# (thf = tetrahydrofuran)

The interaction of η⁵-(C₅H₅)LuCl₂ with Na⁺₂(C₁₄H₁₀^2–) or Na⁺(C₁₄H₁₀^2–.) has led to the formation of η⁵-(C₅H₅)Lu(C₁₄H₁₀^2–) · 2thf (thf = tetrahydrofuran), containing anthracene dianion as a ligand and the structure of the new complex has been established by a low-temperature X-ray diffraction study at 143 K.
