The reaction of [Cr(η6-PhCH2ZnCl)(CO)31 with [{Pd(η3-C3H5)Cl}22 in tetrahydrofuran yields a novel compex [(η3-C3H5)Pd(CH2Ph-η6)–Cr(CO)3] 3 with a Pd–Cr bond; the reaction of 3 with Phl leads to [Cr(CO)3(η6-PhCH2Ph)].
