The seminar is devoted to discussion of modern results in probability theory and
theory of random processes, dynamical systems, representations, as well as of older
results in these areas that form a basis for the modern ones. We assume that senior
participants, specialized in the subject of the seminar, will give a talk. The seminar is
mainly intended for 3-4 year bachelor students, master and graduate students.
Program
In the fall semester we are going to discuss the following topics:
- random dynamical systems and their behavior on large time intervals;
- Wiener chaos and normal approximations;
- determinantal point processes;
- Markov chains on Cayley graphs of groups.
