Course by Yu. L. Sachkov "Geometric control theory, sub-Riemannian geometry, and their applications"

A course of 10 lectures will be devoted to introduction to geometric control theory and its applications. We will consider problems of controllability, optimal control, and sub-Riemannian geometry, and their applications in mechanics, robotics, vision and image processing, probability. The course is intended for university students in mathematics or physics (starting from the 3-rd year) and PhD students. Preliminary knowledge of control theory is not required.
