SEMINARS

Seminar by A. V. Zotov, M. G. Matushko and R. A. Potapov "Methods of classical and quantum integrable systems"
February 12–December 24, 2025, Steklov Mathematical Institute, Room 303 (8 Gubkina)

We kindly ask all participants, including remote ones and those
watching recorded videos, to register at this link.

This two-semester student research seminar is devoted to methods and applications of the theory of integrable systems. The program includes both the study of theoretical foundations and the exploration of contemporary problems.

Program

  • Integrable systems of classical mechanics (Lax representations, r-matrix structures, separation of variables, group-theoretic approach).
  • Exactly solvable quantum models of statistical physics (quantum chains, quantum algebras, Bethe ansatz).
  • Soliton equations and integrable hierarchies (inverse scattering method, tau functions, Hirota equations).
  • Algebraic-geometric description of integrable systems and isomonodromic deformations (moduli spaces of curves and fiber bundles, spectral curves, Painlevé equations).
  • Dualities in integrable systems and their relationship to conformal and gauge theories.
