Keywords: branching processes; random allocations; finite-state automatons; statistical criterion.

Subject:

The transition phenomena in branching processes with several types of particles are investigated (TVP 1961, 6(1), 31–46 and 1972, 17(4), 669–678). The limited distributions for the number of empty cells are obtained for the different schemes of the allocation of the particles in the cells. The power of the test of empty boxes and of its generalizations are calculated. The class of subexponential distributions is defined and investigated (TVP 1964, no. 4, 710–718). The solution of the renewal equation for the distribution of this class is asymptotically non exponential. The estimations of the Perron root for nonnegative matrix are obtained and expressed by Perron root of lower dimension matrixes (DAN, 1979, 246, no. 3, 548–550). A number of publications (in the cooperation with physics and mathematics) are devoted to the applications of the probability theory and mathematical statistics in spectrometry experiments and in the investigations of the nuclear reactor processes. The numerical solution of the linear system by regularization method is considered. Its statistical interpretation is suggested (DAN, 1982, 265, no. 6, 1324–1326, Mat. Zamet., 1982, 32, no. 6, 889–899; TVP, 1984, 29(1), 173–174). In the cooperation with B. A. Sevastyanov and M. I. Tikhomirova the number of results in the theory of the finite-state automatons and testing pseudorandom sequences are obtained.
