Abstract: A two-dimensional quadratic cone has a smooth double cover ramified only over its vertex. This is a prototypical example of a double cover of a quadratic degeneracy locus. I will discuss a construction of such double covers in a more general setting (including Lagrangian degeneracy loci) via reflexive sheaves. Language: English |
