Quantum black holes and their shadows A. F. Zakharov |

Abstract: Black hole shadows were first considered in Bardeen's thought experiment in 1973. Zakharov et al. (2005) showed that the black hole shadow for the Galactic Center (GC) black hole can be reconstructed using observations in the mm or submillimeter range. This has been solved and the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) Collaboration reconstructed the black hole shadow in GC using EHT observations done in 2017 (shadow for M87* has been reconstructed in 2019). Theoretical attempts of shadow reconstructions for quantum black holes were done. However, for the shadows of quantum black holes to be reconstructed in the near future, their masses would need to be significantly increased or the values of their quantum parameters would need to be significantly increased.
