Expanding Thurston mappings

A. Shepelevtseva

Abstract: The Thurston mapping is a ramified covering of the 2-sphere such that the set of its postcritical points is finite. For Thurston mappings one can define the notion of "extension" in some sense. In the talk I will define expanding Thurston mappings and describe an iterative procedure of obtaining the invariant Jordan curves for such mappings.
