Effective potential of scalar-tensor gravity

The report is devoted to a discussion of the effective potential technique and its implications for scalar-tensor models of gravity. Firstly, we discuss a technique of perturbative calculation of an effective potential based on Feynman integrals. Secondly, we illustrate this technique on simple scalar-tensor models of gravity. Lastly, we touch upon the role of an effective potential in the context of inflation. The report is based on the papers arXiv:2007.06306 and arXiv:2109.09797.
