Abstract:
The talk is devoted to the experience of vortex-resolving modeling of turbulent flows in the problems of aerodynamics and aeroacoustics oriented to the aviation industry, about the mathematical models used, about the choice of computational grids, about the need for a compromise between accuracy and calculation speed, about the class of economical numerical methods of increased accuracy for unstructured grids, about the importance of efficient supercomputer technologies.
The report is illustrated by the results of solving model problems and applied research carried out in the computational aerodynamics and aeroacoustics sector of the Institute.
