Grothendieck ring of algebraic varieties and motivic measures

I will try to review some interesting results (and unsolved problems), related to the Grothendieck ring of varieties. Also I will explain the contents of the joint paper with M. Larsen arXiv:https://arxiv.org/abs/1802.03661.
