Nevanlinna value distribution theory and its applications

A brief intriduction to the Nevanlinna theory will be given and some of its applications to a functional equation of Fermat type and to the existence of meromorphic solutions of differential and finite difference equations will be considered. Some new and open problems (posed by the speaker) will be presented for further studies.
