On influence of formation theory concepts and ideology on infinite group theory

The implementation of formation concepts in infinite group theory had its own specificity and led to creation of many new important concepts enriched infinite groups by many deep and interesting results. In the current article, we trace the influence of traditional finite group formation theory ideas and concepts on infinite groups.
