The Littlewood-Richardson rule and Gelfand-Tsetlin patterns

Abstract: We give a survey on the Littlewood-Richardson rule. Using Gelfand-Tsetlin patterns as the main machinery of our analysis, we study the interrelationship of various combinatorial descriptions of the Littlewood-Richardson rule.
