Abstract:
The results of an experimental study of the nature of the fall of a highly concentrated system of coarse aerosol particles in the atmosphere are considered. It is shown that a system of coarse aerosol particles weighing several kilograms at concentrations of more than 10$^3$ cm$^{-3}$ falls at a speed of several meters per 1 s and initiates in the initial part of the trace the velocity of descending air movement of the same order of magnitude. An empirical relationship between the rate of incidence, the concentration of particles in the system and the mass of the discharged powder is obtained. Finally, an attempt is made to estimate the magnitude of the downward velocity in the Wake of a particle system when different powders are applied to convective clouds in experiments [2].
