Mountain Geophysical Institute, Nalchik

Abstract: The humankind has come to grips with the environmental problems of a global nature by the end of XX - the beginning of the XXI century. Atmospheric pollution by emissions of harmful substances is one of the negative factors of anthropogenic impact on the environment. A significant proportion of harmful emissions comes from gas-fired boilers.
Assessment of air pollution by enterprises for the production of thermal energy was carried out in a separate heating district of Nalchik. The purpose of this work is to assess the distribution of pollutants in the atmosphere from the 10 most powerful boilers in the studied area.

Keywords: pollutants, heat energy, hazard class, maximum permissible concentration, maximum one-time emissions, dispersion.
