Optimal time substitution in a control process

Abstract: Control for the current state of a process by observation is investigated. The aim functional is defined by the ratio of integrals of integrands dependent on control functions. By this functional, control is interpreted as a time substitution control. Optimal control functions for certain classes of control functions and a method for computing them are determined. Relay control functions and related functions are shown to be optimal.
