The quantitative importance of criteria with discrete first-order metric scale

Theoretical principles underlying the description of preferences in discrete multicriteria models for decision making from quantitative estimates for the relative importance of criteria and information indicating that increment of preferences decreases with the increasing gradations of their common scale are described.
