Estimating the performance indicators of linear control systems

The performance indicators of linear control systems such as stability, degree of stability, and degree of oscillation are studied by using a function of the characteristic polynomial coefficients. The same function is found to be useful in an iterative method of finding the roots of polynomials whose coefficients are real.
