Adaptation as a way tо ensure reliability of control systems

Modular-structure control systems are made fail-safe by using nonsearching selftuning controllers. The system reliability is estimated non-stationarily with an allowance for adaptation. Equations are derived which describe changes in the system reliability when this method is employed and indicators of stability in face of failures are proposed.
