Computing denormalization error estimates

Estimates are computed of denormalization errors resulting from computer addition of floating point numbers. Addition of two positive numbers, $A'$ and $A''$ is taken up. Formulae for estimating the denormalization errors resulting from successive addition of $2^N$ positive numbers or from addition of $2^N$ pre-sorted numbers are found. The latter way of addition is shown preferable.
