A two-queue alternating service system

Abstract: The service system considered in the article is characterized by two kinds of customers, one server, exponential distribution of service times, and Poisson input flows whose parameters such as the rate of customer arrival and service depend on the current queue length. Efficient recurrent methods are proposed for computing the nonnested stationary probabilistic states, stationary probabilities at customer arrival times, and times of customer stay in this system. The findings may be useful in estimating the efficiency of MIS operating in multi-terminal interactive mode.
