Estimation of dynamic system parameters from their possible ranges

The paper is concerned with restoration of dynamic system parameters from observations of their ranges at successive times. Various ways to describe the ranges are mentioned. Conditions for identifiability of the dynamic system parameters from the system ranges are obtained. The possiblity of solving the problem when the range is given as its flat sections. The results are used in estimating the parameters of forest fires from air photographs.
