Abstract:
Formal methods of analyzing the organizational structure of an operating factory are described. A matrix of business links and a matrix of functionally feasible activities of the managers are obtained. A formal analysis of these matrices is performed by classification of interacting plants and comparative analysis of the matrices. The problem of functional specialization is stated for the managers. Other formal methods of the cause-and-effect analysis of an administrative-managerial structure are given. Some quantitative characteristics obtained by these methods in analysis of a real factory are cited.
