Abstract: A mathematical statement is give of the problem of obtaining the desired distributed control by using a mobile source. The problem is reduced to an integral equation of the first kind with constraints on the desired function. Solution of the equation leads to a source motion function and intensity. An analytical solution is given for the case of a point-like mobile source. A simple algorithm is suggested for a numerical solution in the case of a source distributed in space. The applications include process control in zonal heating, welding, melting, etc.
