Abstract: The paper is concerned with motion stabilization for part of variables in linear staftionary systems. The problem is shown reducible to that of stabilizing the motion for all variables in some auxiliary linear stationary system whose dimension can be lower than that of the original system. Sufficient conditions for complete controllability are obtained. An extension of the problem is formulated. As a result, the solution can be obtained by using control signals that are non-analytical functions of phase variables. A technique to desigh such systems is discussed, examples are considered.
