Stability theory: state of art and problems

The survey covers the Soviet and foreign literature and papers submitted to the Eighth All-Union Conference on Control Sciences on stability of complex systems, aggregate models of comparison with Lyapunov functions, stability for input-output relations in functional spaces, absolute stability, etc. The findings of the last decade are summarized and main lines of future research indicated. The Addendum is concerned with some books and papers on stability that were presented to the Eighth IFAC Congress.
