On possible use of the theory of fuzzy sets for solving the problem of estimating and insuring the reliability of complex systems

Application of the theory of fuzzy sets to solving the problem of estimating and insuring the reliability of complex systems. The specifics of $N-n$ functional systems are analyzed and a method for computing their reliability is described. A fuzzy algorithm is proposed for determining the necessary number of reserve elements if some costs of insuring the reliability are specified.
