A dialog data retrieval system for scheduling and management of transportation systems (DISPUT). I. Design principles and functioning

A dialog data retrieval system is described which is intended for scheduling and management of transportation systems. Problems in design of such systems such as tailoring to the needs of the end user and approaches to their solution are described. Special attention is given to description of tools whereby the user interacts with the system data base in a natural professional language. DISPUT structure and elements are considered and the functioning is described.
