On evolution mechanisms of self-reproducing systems. I

The paper is concerned with evolution processes in systems of many self-reproducing elements. The paper will be in three instalments. The first, chiefly methodical, discusses the well-known models of Darwin's evolution and their applicability to description of non-biological systems.
