Push-button switches and keyboards for control systems and computers

Basic physical phenomena and principles are considered that are embodied in today's contact and contactless push-button switches (keys) and keyboards designed for manual input of data, programs, and commands in interactive, in particular, computer systems, automatic and remote control systems, etc. Outlook for development of this hardware is outlined.
