Management of Databases Having a Ramified Hierarchical Structure

A logical and a physical ways to arrange data in database management systems having a ramified hierarchical structure (DBMS RHS) and access procedures are discussed. The possible solutions are discussed in the light of current trends in EDP hardware development. A case study of DBMS RHS application and the requirements to the operating system are provided.
