Effectiveness of a monitoring system with an arbitrary loss function of the object

The paper is concerned with a model describing interaction of the monitoring system and the object with an arbitrary loss function of the latter. Relations are found which help evaluate the effectiveness of this interaction and optimize the monitoring process.
