A remark on the Kalman-Szegö lemma

Conditions for the existence of solutions to the matrix inequalities, associated with the problem of Lur'e for discrete control systems, are considered. The known frequency domain conditions for solvability of these inequalities are generalized for the case of systems with uncontrollable or unobservable linear parts.
