Diagnosing Controllers by Algorithm Flowcharts

A method is proposed for functional diagnosis of a discretetime controller by the control algorithm flowchart so as to monitor the agreement between the controller output sequence and the algorithm for a given sequence of input signals. An example of using the method in diagnosing a microprogrammed control unit is given.
