Control in scanning search for an immovable object

For an immovable object sought for with several tools the necessary and sufficient conditions for optimal search to exist and a search optimality criterion are obtained with minimal natural constraints. For a spherically symmetrical problem a solution is provided which is smooth for search in plane. No uniformly optimal search is proved to exist in a general case.
