Abstract:
Information processing aspects of designing systems with sliding motions are studied. In the case of unrecognized lags in the plant or meters the ideal sliding mode cannot be maintained unless asymptotic state observers are used. The methods of theory of continuous singularly disturbed equations are found applicable systems with discontinuous control where asymptotic state observers are used. The system order can be reduced and the original system decomposed into three independent subsystems of the rectors of the plant state, observer, and dynamic system which describes the unrecognized lag.
