The demagnetizing factor of wound toroidal cores

The demagnetizing factor of wound toroids due to the inter-turn gap is theoretically determined. The factor is shown to depend on magnetic permeability of the ferromagnetic as well as on the geometry of the core and its turns and varies in a wide range.
