On errors of amplitude quantization in rounding off by using a level-discrete stochastic error correcting signal

The paper is concerned with the operation of an amplitude quantizer in rounding off with a level-discrete error correcting signal. Relations are obtained for determining numerical characteristics of quantization errors with this way of rounding off. For the case of a triangular distribution of the error corecting signal relations are given whereby to select the number of bits in the digit network of the quantizer with which the numerical characteristics of the quantization errors are independent on the probabilistic characteristics of the processes being quantizied.
