Estimating the motion parameters and investigation of asymptotic properties of the estimates in the problem of trajectory measurements

Abstract: The paper is concerned with parameter estimation in identification of the motion of a point-like vehicle from the observation of its coordinates by using two meters. The problem is solved by the maximal likelihood method and belongs to problems with interfering parameters. The asymptotic properties of the estimates are studied and under certain assumptions the estimates are shown to be meaningful, asymptotically normal and asymptotically effective.
