Approximate design of optimal control for discrete-time systems

Abstract: A method of approximate optimal control design is proposed for the case where the function $\varphi(i, y)$ satisfying to the sufficient optimality conditions of V. F. Krotov [1] is representable as an interpolational multi-dimensional polynom. The method is illustrated with an appointment problem.
