Certain methods of adaptive general purpose controller design

Abstract: The paper is concerned with control nonstationary processes if the data only on estimates of the control error and its derivative are available. A function of measured coordinates is introduced which represents the relation of the plant parameter and the performance of the control process; the properties of the function are studied. Adaptation algorithms are synthesized and their convergence proved. Solutions most simple in terms of implementation are found in the class of variable structure systems.
