The problem of streamlining the procedure for analytic design of a control for nonlinear plants

A way to simplify the analytical control design procedure in terms of generalized work is proposed for plants with polynomial nonlinearities. For stationary problems a procedure is given whereby to obtain control coefficients directly from the plant coefficients and a functional; no intermediate computations are necessary.
