Conditions for applicability of the method of harmonic balance to systems with a hysteresis nonlinearity (in the case of the filter hypothesis)

Sufficient conditions are found under which the application of the harmonic balance method to systems containing ambiguous nonlineatites is legitimate. Accuracy estimates are obtained for the class of hysteresis systems discussed.
