Control in Biological Systems and Medicine

Structural notions on organization of the nervous system

V. S. Gorozhanin

Kustanay

Abstract: The paper is concerned with application of control theory concepts and methods in neurophysiology. Significance of analysis in terms of control theory is shown for a number of problems in genesis of individual differences, induced brain potentials, biological hythms, and generation of pathological states. Many generalizing concepts initially put forward in control theory for analysis of industrial systems are also discovered in biological systems; in this way the functioning principles are found to be applicable in both artificial and natural control systems.
