Design of an adaptive system for stabilizing a linear distributed plant

Abstract: The paper is concerned with design of an adaptive stabilizing system in the case of a linear adaptive distributed plant. The dynamics of such plants is described in the language of half-groups. A solution of the problem is given with frequency conditions for solvability of certain operator inequalities (an infinite-dimensional analog of the Yakubovicz — Kalman lemma). The results are illustrated with an example.
