Optimizing the rolling in static mode

The paper is concerned with a methodology for optimizing the strip in stands of a rolling mill in static mode. The optimization criterion is minimal deflection of the strip thickness at the mill output. The constraints result from the strip shaping and enorgy-and-force rolling parameters. The problem is reducigle to a standard linear programming one.
